Semarang – The Vocational School of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) officially held the Open Launching Ceremony of the Tax Volunteers of the Tax Accounting Study Program on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 09:00 AM. The event marked the commencement of tax reporting services provided by the Tax Volunteers for UNDIP lecturers, administrative staff, and the surrounding community.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Vocational School of UNDIP expressed pride in the dedication and preparedness of the Tax Volunteers. He emphasized that tax volunteers are not merely students assisting with administrative tasks, but represent the face of public service in Indonesia within the university environment.
“Tax Volunteers represent the presence of public service at UNDIP. Uphold integrity, professionalism, and empathy in every service you provide,” the Dean stated.
The Dean highlighted the importance of maintaining strong character values, particularly integrity, professionalism, and empathy, as the foundation of public service. He further explained that the Tax Volunteer program reflects applied learning approaches such as project-based learning, problem-based learning, and case study learning, enabling students to gain real-world experience in handling tax-related cases.
According to the Dean, this experience will provide long-term benefits, not only during students’ academic years but also when they enter the professional workforce.
The ceremony also featured the soft launching of the “Core VTC” simulation application, an innovative project developed by a Tax Accounting student, Muhamad Syauqal Afwika Rahman. The application is designed as a simulation platform for tax reporting and payment processes, serving as a practical learning tool for students and other users seeking to better understand taxation procedures.
This innovation received high appreciation from academic leaders and participants, as it strengthens the Teaching Factory Vocational Tax Corner (VTC) as a technology-driven and adaptive tax service laboratory.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Tax Accounting Study Program, Apip, S.E., M.Si., expressed great pride in both the student innovation and the Tax Volunteers initiative. He noted that the program demonstrates that vocational students are not only technically competent but also capable of delivering practical solutions for society.
“We are very proud of our students. The Tax Volunteers and the Core VTC innovation show that learning at the Vocational School truly creates impact and remains relevant to societal needs,” Apip remarked.
Through this launching event, the Vocational School of UNDIP reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the dignity of UNDIP through professional, ethical, and impactful tax services. The Tax Volunteers are expected to become the frontliners of tax education and assistance within the university and surrounding community, while also serving as a sustainable model of contextual vocational learning.
