Semarang, August 25, 2025 – The Vocational School of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) has officially partnered with PT International Test Center (ITC), a leading provider of learning, training, and international certification services in Indonesia. The collaboration was marked by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) alongside the opening of the TOEIC Training of Trainers (ToT) program on August 25, 2025, held at the Cosplay Room, 5th Floor of the Teaching Factory (TEFA) Building, Vocational School UNDIP, Tembalang.
The TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is an assessment designed to measure English proficiency in professional communication and is recognized worldwide as a standard for workplace English competency. This program aligns with the Vocational School’s mission to equip students with sufficient English skills, ensuring they are prepared to compete at the international level. The TOEIC ToT serves as a specialized training program for instructors to qualify as official organizers and examiners in accordance with international standards.
In his remarks, UNDIP Academic Director, Prof. Dr. nat. tech. Siswo Sumardiono, S.T., M.T., highlighted the importance of English proficiency, stating, “We need to equip our students with strong English skills so they are ready to face the professional world.”
Vice Dean of the Vocational School, Dr. Ida Hayu Dwimawanti, M.M., expressed her gratitude for the collaboration, saying, “I am very grateful because through this partnership, the Vocational School can implement TOEIC, starting with training and testing for our lecturers first.”
Meanwhile, Harry Pratama, General Manager of PT ITC, emphasized the program’s impact: “Through TOEIC, future graduates of UNDIP Vocational School are expected to compete globally with international certification.”
This collaboration stands as a concrete step for UNDIP Vocational School in preparing graduates who are industry-ready, competitive, and aligned with both national and international workforce demands.
