Semarang, March 30, 2026 — The Vocational School of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) officially established a strategic partnership with Tanaka Foods Corporation, Japan, through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement held on Monday (March 30, 2026) at the Vocational School UNDIP.
The event was attended by representatives of Tanaka Foods Corporation, namely Mr. Fujita Masanobu (Director) and Ms. Yamada Makiko (Human Resources & Accounting Section), along with the leadership and academic community of the Vocational School UNDIP.
This collaboration marks an important step in strengthening international cooperation between vocational education and global industry, particularly in the development of human resources and the enhancement of students’ competencies.
In addition to the signing ceremony, the event also featured a guest lecture delivered by Mr. Fujita Masanobu and Ms. Yamada Makiko. During the session, they shared insights into Tanaka Foods Corporation’s business operations, product innovations, and industrial practices, as well as the working culture in Japan.
The guest lecture provided valuable exposure for students to understand real-world industry practices at the international level, especially in the food processing and industrial sectors.
A key highlight of this partnership is the opportunity for international internship programs for students of the Vocational School UNDIP, particularly those from the Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology program. This program is expected to enhance students’ technical skills, broaden their global perspective, and strengthen their professional mindset.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Vocational School UNDIP emphasized that this collaboration reflects the institution’s commitment to producing graduates who are not only technically competent but also possess integrity, professionalism, and global competitiveness.
“We believe that collaboration with global industry partners such as Tanaka Foods Corporation will provide valuable learning experiences for our students and open wider opportunities for future cooperation,” he stated.
Looking ahead, this partnership is expected to expand beyond internship programs into broader collaboration areas, including training, industry-based curriculum development, and potential recruitment opportunities.
The event concluded with a group photo session, marking the beginning of a sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership between Tanaka Foods Corporation and the Vocational School of Universitas Diponegoro.
