Diponegoro University’s Vocational School presents another inspiring story from one of its alumni, Multazam, S.T., a graduate of UNDIP Vocational School who has become an influential figure in the shipyard industry and energy business in West Kalimantan. As the Director of PT Delta Oriental Kapuas, as well as the CEO of Shipyard Industries and CEO of GEMILANG GROUP, his achievements demonstrate how vocational graduates can play a significant role in strategic industrial sectors.
He began his career in 2001 as a contract staff member at UPB Dock PT DKB (Persero) – Pertamina Balikpapan, steadily building his professional reputation. He later joined PT USDA Seroja Jaya as a Ship Repair Officer until 2024, followed by various strategic roles in the maritime industry such as Owner Surveyor, Shipyard Manager, and ultimately being entrusted as the Director of PT Delta Oriental Kapuas from 2012 to the present. This long journey highlights his expertise in shipyard management, technical engineering, and the development of maritime-based business units.
Beyond his success in industry, Multazam is also active in alumni organizations. He serves as the Secretary of DPD IKA UNDIP West Kalimantan, Coordinator of D3 Alumni at DPP IAPAT, Chairman of DPP IKA Kapal UNDIP, and Member of the Advisory Board of the IKA Kapal UNDIP Foundation. His involvement reflects his commitment to strengthening alumni networks and promoting vocational contributions to regional development.
Multazam’s story is proof that vocational education not only produces job-ready graduates but also industry leaders capable of creating broad impact. His dedication to developing shipyard and energy businesses in West Kalimantan serves as a strong inspiration for students that great opportunities await those who are willing to learn, grow, and remain committed.
Diponegoro University’s Vocational School continues to encourage the emergence of many other success stories like that of Multazam, S.T., as part of its contribution to national development.
