A number of students from the Vocational School of Diponegoro University have finished carrying out practical work at the Semarang City Regional Development Planning Agency. Students who study in the applied undergraduate study program Spatial Planning and Land, carry out a practical work program for three months. This activity is carried out from June 22 to September 20, 2022. Practical work is carried out by students in order to gain insight, practical experience in the world of work, and expand relationships.

The official practical work activity was closed on September 27, 2022 by the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (BAPPEDA) of Semarang City, Mr. Budi Prakosa, S.T., M.T., in the meeting room of the agency. The closing of the practical work activity was attended by representatives from the Semarang City Population Control and Family Planning Office, Semarang City Culture and Tourism Office, head of government planning, Social and Cultural Planning of BAPPEDA Semarang, head of economic planning Division of BAPPEDA Semarang, head of infrastructure planning and region Development of BAPPEDA Semarang, head of research and Development of BAPPEDA Semarang, Applied Undergraduate Spatial Planning and Land Planning Study Program Undip Vocational School, Undergraduate Study Program for Urban and Regional Planning Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University, and student field partners (Prospective Civil Servants BAPPEDA Semarang).

In this closing series, students presented the results of the practical work activity “Profile of Quality Family Villages in Semarang City”. Based on his presentation, out of 34 villages there are only 16 villages that are quality family villages and are worthy of being used as pilots. At the end of their presentation, the students distributed 16 Quality Family Village Profiles in Semarang City. It is hoped that this product can be used as a policy recommendation for BAPPEDA Semarang and the Semarang City Population Control and Family Planning Service to improve the quality of the village in order to support the realization of “Great Semarang!”

Representatives of the accompanying lecturers for the Applied Undergraduate Spatial Planning and Land Planning Study Program, Mrs. Reny Yesiana, S.T., M.T., expressed her gratitude to BAPPEDA Semarang and the Semarang City Population Control and Family Planning Office for opening opportunities and providing support to students. With this activity, he hopes to expand collaboration with the government, especially in the field of Spatial Planning and Land.
