The development of information and communication technology has impacted the thinking paradigm of most people worldwide, one of which is Indonesia. Technology is not only enjoyed by technocrats but has become public consumption. Technological developments must also be balanced with developing human skills or abilities as subjects or roles that utilize technology for various purposes. Currently, the Diponegoro University Vocational School is entering a strengthening phase, especially in the technology field, to prepare institutions that can face changes in world culture, ready to work, be independent, promote identity, and compete nationally and internationally. Of course, to be able to bridge this goal, Vocational Schools play a vital role in implementing information technology. One platform that becomes the identity of an agency is the agency website. A Vocational School website must be designed well to reflect an agency’s image and provide relevant information.

On March 1-2, 2024, the Diponegoro University Vocational School held a Website Development and Management Workshop at the Laras Asri Hotel, Salatiga. The workshop activities aim to develop the Diponegoro University Vocational School website in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, improve the ability of lecturers and staff to manage websites in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and provide technical guidance on the steps for preparing a website in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The benefit of this workshop is an effort to improve the quality and highly competitive Diponegoro University Vocational School website to respond to the needs of stakeholders in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0, so the development and management of the Diponegoro University Vocational School website are significant to implement so that the Study Program within the scope Diponegoro University Vocational School is expected to develop a study program website to be integrated with the faculty website. The desired outcome of this activity is to create a Diponegoro University Vocational School website that is informative and highly competitive.

The resource person at the workshop was Dr. Ida Hayu Dwimawanti, M.M. a Lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Sciences, UNDIP, Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at the Undip Vocational School, presenting material related to Evaluation of Vocational School Websites and Arkhan Subari, S.T., M.Kom as a Lecturer at the UNDIP Vocational School, presenting material related to Technical Standardization of Vocational School Websites. Participants who took part in the workshop were the Dean of Vocational Schools, Deputy Dean of Resources, Administrative Manager of Vocational Schools, Academic and Student Affairs Supervisor, Resource Supervisor, Heads of UNDIP Vocational School Study Programs, UNDIP Vocational School Website Team, and each School Study Program Website Operator UNDIP Vocational. Dean of the Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budiyono, M.Si, said, “Websites are the home of each agency; the general public, before visiting an agency, will look at the home or website first. Therefore, let us develop a website by Diponegoro University standards and include faculty or program information updated study.”

The end of the workshop activity is that each study program website operator can adjust the appearance and menu according to website standards from Diponegoro University. Apart from that, each study program updates news on the website at a rate of 1 news per week. “The end of this workshop activity does not mean the end of the study program operator’s duties; I hope that the program operator will still have to update the information on the website and adjust existing standards,” said Dr. Ida Hayu Dwimawanti, M.M.
