Semarang – The Real Work Lecture (KKN) of Diponegoro University in Plosogaden Village, Candiroto District, Temanggung Regency, has a positive impact on MSMEs in the region. One of the programs that attracted attention was the introduction of the application “Book Warung.”
Simple bookkeeping is not only crucial for business operators; it is also very beneficial for individuals and families. By recording every income and expense, we can know where our money is going and create a better financial plan. Financial planning is the process of organizing finances to meet needs and achieve life goals. We can achieve better financial well-being by combining simple bookkeeping and financial planning. Activities in implementing bookkeeping education and training and financial planning include explaining what simple bookkeeping is, why bookkeeping is essential, what financial planning is, how to do financial planning, how to use the application, and what an ideal budget looks like. MSME participants in Plosogaden Village, Candiroto District, Temanggung Regency, are enthusiastic about participating in introducing and using the application “Buku warung” taught by KKN students of Diponegoro University. The “Buku Warung” application program is one of the MSME bookkeeping applications created to make it easier for business owners to record their business books efficiently and practically. Available features are money income and expenditure, a reminder to record transactions, manage stocks, and automatically generate financial statements. The advantages of “Book-Warung” are that it can be used without an internet connection, is easy to understand by beginners, data is stored securely, facilitates the creation of daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, and is free of admin fees for users.
MSME participants in Plosogaden Village, Candiroto District, Temanggung Regency, are enthusiastic about participating in introducing and using the application “Buku warung” taught by KKN students of Diponegoro University. Through this program, KKN students raised MSMEs’ awareness of the importance of financial records. Using BukuWarung, it is hoped that MSMEs in Plosogaden Village can develop more independently.
