Silirejo Village, Pekalongan (16/07/2024) – Undip KKN Team II 2024 students conducted training on simple income recording for micro-business actors, especially grocery shop owners. In this training, students distributed “Sales Recap Books” and information related to things that need to be recorded in bookkeeping so that business owners can quickly determine the profits and turnover obtained. As a micro-business, grocery shops have an essential role in meeting the community’s daily needs. Even though they are small in scale, proper and transparent financial management is necessary to maintain business continuity.
To support this, Diva Heriyana, a student from the Tax Accounting Study Program of the Vocational School, carried out this training directly by visiting the grocery stalls in Hamlet 04 and Hamlet 03, Silirejo Village, Tirto District on July 16-July 20, 2024. This training was held because many stall owners still needed to know the importance of financial records. Many mix business income with personal expenses, such as household needs, children’s pocket money, electricity, and water.
With bookkeeping, shop owners are expected to be able to track business expenses and separate them from personal expenses. The training teaches shop owners to record simple expense transactions in the Sales Recap Book. This book is designed to facilitate recording. The bookkeeping process includes recording all expenses and sales from the shop’s daily income. With this training, it is hoped that grocery shop owners will have basic knowledge of bookkeeping that can help them manage their finances better. With this understanding, they can plan purchases of goods more efficiently, avoid potential losses, and improve their business financial management.
