SEMARANG – The Vocational School of Diponegoro University (SV Undip) has collaborated with PT Sriboga Flour Mill to host an inspiring event titled “Successful MSME Business Sharing.” The event, attended by around 150 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from Semarang and its surrounding areas, took place at the ICT Building of Undip on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

This event not only marked the signing of a cooperation agreement between SV Undip and Sriboga but also launched the “Vokabis” teaching factory (Tefa) aimed at enhancing the education and skills of Accounting students. Additionally, the event featured a seminar on MSME development to improve product quality and sales, along with a baking demonstration by Chef Roni from the Sriboga Customer Center Semarang.

Representing PT Sriboga Flour Mill were Maria Wuri Handayani (Marketing Manager), Agus Surono (Regional Business Manager), Ja’far Shodiq (National Sales Manager), and Ahmad Mukholil (Head of MSME Empowerment Division). From SV Undip, Dr. Edi Rahardja SE, MSi (Head of the Business and Finance Department) and Apip., S.E., M.Si (Head of the Tax Accounting Program) were present, along with the entire academic community of the Vocational School and MSME representatives from the Semarang area.

Maria Wuri Handayani stated, “This event aims to educate our MSME partners to enhance their skills and knowledge in developing their businesses, covering aspects such as product innovation, business management, marketing, and other managerial considerations.” She also emphasized the importance of collaborating with SV Undip, a leading educational institution in science and technology, which is managed professionally.

This cooperation represents a synergy in the MSME empowerment program initiated by PT Sriboga Flour Mill and SV Undip, which is part of community service—one of the pillars of higher education’s Tridharma. This synergy is expected to enhance the capabilities and knowledge of MSMEs for their business development towards a larger and more modern scale.

The “Successful MSME Business Sharing” event in Semarang serves as the final stop of Sriboga’s roadshow after successfully hosting similar events in six other cities across Indonesia, partnering with local universities.

Dr. Edi Rahardja SE, MSi, and Apip., S.E., M.Si expressed their high appreciation for the long-standing cooperation between SV Undip and Sriboga. They consider the business sharing event as a significant community service program that greatly benefits the development of Sriboga’s supported MSMEs.

Regarding the launch of the “Vokabis” teaching factory, Dr. Edi Rahardja SE, MSi, explained that this facility allows students to learn directly and gain experience tailored to industry needs. “Given the increasingly complex challenges of the industrial world, it is crucial to develop a teaching factory that provides quality education and real-world practice supported by the latest technology. This teaching factory is based on both national and global industry standards,” he stated.
