Semarang, September 22, 2024 – The Orientation for Young Diponegoro (ODM) 2024 at Diponegoro University, particularly in the Vocational School, was successfully held with a variety of innovative activities. This event was designed to help new students get acquainted with the campus environment and understand the academic life and culture at Undip.
Held at the Muladi Dome, various engaging activities took place, including the ODM SV Expo. The Vocational School showcased their works and innovations, such as the Shipbuilding Engineering booth, which displayed digital research projects and Welding Inspector certification to prepare graduates for a technology-driven job market.
Lilian, the Chair of the IKA Shipbuilding Engineering Foundation at Undip, stated, “This event aims to enhance collaboration between the foundation and the Construction Engineering Study Program, with the hope of fostering cooperation between alumni and students entering the workforce.” The event was also attended by IKA Shipbuilding Engineering alumni from the Semarang region.
Additionally, the Expo featured an Applied Foreign Languages booth decorated with unique cosplayer costumes themed around Japanese and English culture, successfully attracting the interest of new students. The event carried the theme “One Pride Many Voices,” aimed at fostering a spirit of togetherness and collaboration among the new students.
