UNDIP Vocational School Welcomes Delegation from Politeknik Indonusa Surakarta to Strengthen Global Career Development for Students

Semarang, April 23, 2026 – The Vocational School of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) welcomed a delegation from Politeknik Indonusa Surakarta for a discussion on student career development, with a particular focus on strengthening international career pathways and enhancing graduates’ global employability.

The meeting, held on Thursday morning at 09:30 AM at the UNDIP Vocational School, was attended by the school’s leadership team. Representing UNDIP were the Dean of the Vocational School, the Head of the Voca Migrant Corner (VMC) Riandhita, and the Vice Dean for Resources, Vita Paramita.

Meanwhile, the delegation from Politeknik Indonusa Surakarta was led by its Director, Ir. Suci Purwandari, M.M., Ph.D., accompanied by representatives from student affairs, partnerships, career center, and public relations.

The discussion was conducted in a warm and constructive atmosphere, focusing on strategies to enhance the quality of graduates so they can compete globally. Both institutions agreed that student career development should no longer be limited to national demands but must be oriented toward readiness for the international job market.

During the session, the UNDIP Vocational School shared its experience in developing a global career preparation system, including the Voca Migrant Corner (VMC) initiative, which integrates training, certification, and international job placement and internship programs.

In her remarks, Ir. Suci Purwandari expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage in the discussion. “We highly appreciate this opportunity to exchange ideas with UNDIP Vocational School. Developing international career pathways for students is a strategic necessity, and we see many best practices here that can be learned and further developed through collaboration,” she stated.

The Dean of the UNDIP Vocational School emphasized that this visit marks an important momentum to strengthen collaboration among vocational education institutions in addressing global challenges.

“We warmly welcome this visit as part of our shared effort to enhance the quality of vocational graduates. Strengthening international career pathways is key to improving competitiveness and opening global opportunities for our students,” he stated.

Both institutions agreed to continue communication and explore more concrete collaboration opportunities, including program development, knowledge exchange, and implementation of initiatives that support the enhancement of graduates’ global employability.

The event concluded with a group photo session, symbolizing the initial commitment to building a sustainable partnership between the UNDIP Vocational School and Politeknik Indonusa Surakarta.
