THE BEGINNING OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE VILLAGE TEACHING MOVEMENT

he Village Teaching Movement was founded in Cianjur, in September 2018. At that time Gardian and his two friends, Rudi Reynal and Arda Novrizal, decided to establish this educational community even though their third age was still in high school. The first day of registration, it was beyond our expectations. Registrants jumped to 100 registrants. We require each registrant to upload a twibbon as proof of participation in the registration process. From there, to be honest, we were very happy and actually couldn’t believe that our friends in Cianjur were very enthusiastic at that time. We closed the day with joy and pride. The next day, we got 100 new registrants again. The enthusiasm of friends in Cianjur until the 7th day in total we got about 700 registrants from 32 sub-districts in Cianjur.

Currently, the Teaching Village Movement has grown to become one of the largest educational movements in Indonesia with more than 3000 volunteers from 24 provinces throughout Indonesia. The volunteers who joined came from various educational, cultural, religious backgrounds and so on. Their only goal is to serve Indonesia.

One message from Gardian, that when we are born in Indonesia, it means we are also obliged to serve Indonesia. we currently as students have a very large contribution and very special privilege so that it can be said that if we just sit and remain silent, Indonesia will be silent. But if young people dare to take roles, steps and responsibilities, then we will achieve golden Indonesia in 2030. So, let’s work together for a better Indonesia.

Gardian has a life motto: Don’t let you get older without inspiring many people! On this basis, since he was young, Gardian likes to be involved in the social world, starting from the Children’s Forum and other social organizations. At the Children’s Forum, Gardian was the Chair of the Cianjur District Children’s Forum, the Administrator of the West Java Children’s Forum and the National Children’s Forum, as well as the 2016 West Java Children’s Ambassador. His dream for Indonesia is that all Indonesian children have equal rights and access to education.

Gardian was an Indonesian delegate for the United Ambassadors Model United Nations (MUN) Conference at the United Nations Headquarters, New York, United States. In addition, he has also been an Ambassador for the Kemenpan-RB LAPOR, a reporting service application for the community. Also, he was elected as an Adjutant to the Governor of West Java, Mr. Ridwan Kamil through the West Java Future Leaders program. From thousands of applicants, only the 30 best youths were selected to take part in leadership training with the Governor of West Java

During his time as an Adjutant, Gardian learned a lot about being a leader. Gardian saw how a leader makes decisions during an emergency, how to manage communication between family and community, also learns about creating a program that can benefit many people. This also inspired Gardian to develop the Village Teaching Movement
