Designing for greater efficiency or Greater efficiency is the theme taken as a guest lecture for the Civil Infrastructure and Architectural Planning study program, which presents expert speakers in architecture, namely Jatmika A. Suryabrata, Ph.D. / Senior Adviser IFC, Architecture Lecturer of UGM. The guest lecture was held on Friday, March 1, 2024, on the 4th Floor of the Dipoengoro University Vocational School, which lecturers and students from the Civil Infrastructure and Architectural Planning study programs attended.
This guest lecture is vital for students; it can provide insight and new views. Head of Study Program Asri Nurdiana, ST., MT, said that through this guest lecture, UNDIP vocational school students were given knowledge enrichment to improve competence and expertise. Apart from that, you can sharpen your understanding by exploring direct experience from experts. “The aim of bringing in speakers from outside is also to open up students’ horizons of knowledge,” said Head of Study Program Asri Nurdiana, ST., MT. Material related to designing for greater efficiency aims at processes to increase efficiency in the use of resources. Because currently, Indonesia has tall buildings that cause negative impacts, students need to have the best breakthroughs in sustainable development that are natural and environmentally friendly (SDGs). This is supported by Jatmika A. Suryabrata, Ph.D.’s statement that “energy consumption in buildings in Indonesia is more wasteful than in other Asian countries.”
