The Vocational School of Diponegoro University (Undip) focuses on developing the 11 D4 or applied undergraduate study programs that it currently manages. The development of applied undergraduate programs is a policy that is in line with Undip’s status as a Legal Entity State University (PTNBH).
The Dean of the Undip Vocational School, Budiyono said, by focusing on the D4 level, activities that produce patents, journal publications, research development, and innovation can be carried out optimally. The policy of developing an applied undergraduate program is also in accordance with the national policy of the Directorate General of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture. “Since 2019 we have no longer accepted D3 program students. For the main campus we only accept students for applied undergraduate programs or D4,” he said, launching the Undip website, Wednesday (24/3/2021).
He admitted that currently there are 4 Departments with 11 Applied Undergraduate Study Programs at the Undip Vocational School
Through two paths
There are two paths to enter Undip Vocational School, namely the Admission of Potential Student Selection (PSSB) and the Independent Examination (UM) path. The PSSB pathway is the acceptance of applied undergraduate students through the achievement of report cards.
The UM admissions pathway is open to all high school, vocational, MA and equivalent students, including graduates of the equivalency program or Package C.
“This pathway allows 2019 graduates to take part in the selection. The UM pathway is also open online from May 1 to July 8, 2021,” he said.
The announcement of the selection results for the PSSB pathway will be made on May 5, 2021. As for the UM path, it will be on July 16, 2021. “The process and procedures for registering the Undip Vocational School can be accessed at https://pmb.undip.ac.id/ including to find out the registration fee and the method of payment,” he said.
In the Academic Year 2021/2022, Undip Vocational School will accept 1,540 students. With details of the Industrial Technology Department as many as 440 students and the Civil and Planning Department as many as 300 students. Then there are the Department of Business and Finance with 480 students and the Department of Information and Culture with 320 students. “The number of accepted students has been regulated based on the rector’s decree,” he said.
